Virtus.pro is rebuilding its Rainbow Six Siege team for 2022

"We have been performing below expectations of our fans and our own this year in R6, especially compared to last year's results."

Virtus.pro has announced that its Rainbow Six: Siege roster will be going inactive for a few months as it looks to rebuild ahead of the start of the season in February 2022. Revealed over Twitter, the organisation gave performance below expectations as the primary factor to the decision, while also stating that "numerous" other reasons are why the rebuild is taking place.

"We have been performing below expectations of our fans and our own this year in R6, especially compared to last year's results. There have been numerous factors for that, including the changes in roster that didn't work out as we hoped they would. Not to mention the spirit of the team that received a critical blow with positive PCR tests right before the Six Invitational. All of this led to a decline in sports results."

Virtus.pro continued, "The roster goes inactive today. We are working on rebuilding the team prior to the start of the season in February of 2022."

We're also told that we can expect more information about the new team from the roster's captain, Pavel "p4sh4" Kosenko, in VP's "Recap of 2021" video on its YouTube channel.
