Report: Call of Duty League looking to return to LAN format in Stage 4

There will be no fans yet though.

Recently, during a pre-match showcase for OpTic Chicago's match against the Los Angeles Thieves, the owner of OpTic Gaming, Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez briefly mentioned when the Call of Duty League is looking to return to its LAN format, after engaging in online play since the start of the season thanks to the pandemic.

During the show H3CZ said, "We just got clarity on that. We won't see a LAN event until the following stage (CDL Stage 4) and then after that, the following stage is the Optic Chicago Homestand."

As reported by GinX, the CDL is seemingly looking to begin its run of LAN tournaments again in Stage 4, which follows on from the statement that the league was looking to return to the format. The main difference however, will be that the CDL will not be bringing fans to these events, and likewise, we also don't know just how many events will feature the LAN design. This could just be for the Stage 4 playoffs weekend, or instead for an entire weekend of regular league play, we will have to wait until Activision releases an official statement to find out.
