Philadelphia Fusion has released Mano

The Overwatch League star will be beginning his military service soon.

Following the conclusion of the 2021 Overwatch League season, the Philadelphia Fusion has announced that it will be parting ways with its main tank, Dong-gyu "Mano" Kim, who will be beginning his military service in South Korea.

Revealed over Twitter, the Fusion said, "Today we say thank you to @Mano_OWL as he will begin his military duty soon.

We are grateful to have had you as a reliable front line of the team this year. Thank you so much for your hard work and best of luck in your future endeavours!"

The Fusion finished the season by making it to the quarter-finals of the Playoffs, ultimately being knocked out by the San Francisco Shock. With Mano leaving the roster, the team might be in the market for a new tank, although as the 2022 season will be played on Overwatch 2, which uses a 5v5 system and only has one tank player in each game, the team might stick with the tank players it currently has. We'll just have to wait to see what develops.
