The Paris Eternal has announced they will be parting ways with head coach Felix "Féfé" Munch ahead of the 2020 Overwatch League season. The French head coach rose to prominence during his days coaching Eagle Gaming in the Contenders scene, landing them several first-place finishes before heading into the OWL under the Eternal's banner.
"I won't be with Paris Eternal next year" said coach Féfé on Twitter. "It was a heart-breaking decision, but I think it is for the best. I believe that all of my players grew this season and are OWL material. I know they will use what we learnt to be a better team. It was a pleasure to coach you boys."
The team themselves released a statement regarding the change saying; "Today, our paths separate with Féfé. We thank him for bringing his talent and professionalism to the team Paris Eternal, and we wish him the best for the future."
It isn't surprising to see some roster changes during this off-season, as the League will be shifting towards the home-game schedule in this coming season. However, considering Eternal is built around a large proportion of European players whose contracts are still regarded as team options through the 2020 season (as stated by a report from the Overwatch League), the changes coming to this team were not exactly obvious, even with their fourteenth-place finish.
