Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports team has revealed the three drivers that will be representing the organisation in the 2021 F1 Esports Pro Series. For this coming year, the team has added two decorated individuals as it looks to challenge Red Bull Racing Esports team for the 2021 Constructors Championship.

To headline the signings is the 2020 F1 Esports Pro Series' champion Jarno Opmeer, who previously raced for Renault. He will be joining Mercedes for the 2021 season as its leading driver. "I can't wait to start working with the Mercedes Team," said Opmeer. "This is an extremely ambitious and talented team and I'm going to try to get the maximum out of Esports this year."

Second on the team is the also decorated Dani Moreno, who won the 2020 F1 Esports Series Rookie of the Year award. Moreno will be looking to build on his past success by joining a team who are also looking for better results over the season. "To join one of the best teams in the world alongside some of the best drivers in the world is truly amazing," said Moreno. "I feel incredibly proud to join this team and I will work as hard as possible to get the best results, both for the team and for myself."

Last of all on the Mercedes roster is the returning star of Bono Huis, who will be back for his second season with the team. Huis saw less success than Opmeer and Moreno in the 2020 F1 season, but will be looking for better results with a talented driver line-up at his side. "I'm very happy to continue with the Team," said Huis. "Having Jarno and Dani joining us is extremely exciting and should help us to grow across all platforms, so I'm very much looking forward to what seems to be a busy year!"

While the 2021 F1 Esports Pro Series will start later this year, the F1 Esports Virtual GP 2021 begins this Sunday, with the first round set to race from 6pm GMT / 7pm CET. You can catch the action here.
