Flashpoint Season 2 to boast $1 million prize pool

12 teams will take part in the event, set to last around one month.

The details for season 2 of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's Flashpoint tournament have been released. Set to feature 12 teams, each fighting for a spot at a $1 million prize pool, season 2 is scheduled to begin as soon as November 10.

As reported by The Esports Observer, Group Stages will start on November 10, lasting until November 22. All 12 teams will compete in this stage, however only the best will move forward to the Playoffs, which are set to start on November 30. Playoffs will then proceed until December 5, when only two teams remain, and Grand Finals can take place the following day - December 6.

The 12 invited teams are; c0ntact Gaming, Cloud9, Dignitas, Team Envy, Gen.G Esports, MAD Lions, MiBR, BIG, OG, Fnatic, forZe Esports and Virtus.pro.
