The London-based esports organisation Excel Esports has announced the latest sponsor to join its ranks, the energy drink brand Beyond NRG. The sponsorship deal will see Beyond "fuel" Excel's League of Legends and Valorant teams, and will also see the pair "work together on content and experiences."
"Energy drinks can be notorious for their high levels of sugar and unnatural ingredients so it's great to be able to partner with Beyond NRG which focuses on natural caffeine properties and contains lots of vitamins," said Fabian Broich, Head of Performance, Excel Esports. "Beyond NRG really understands the needs of professional esports players and have created a product that will not only allow us to maintain our values but fuel our players in a balanced and healthy way."
Excel is currently in the process of announcing its competitive Valorant roster, following the previous signing of David "Davidp" Prins as the team's captain. The coaching staff for its Valorant team has been revealed, and the organisation intends to reveal the rest of its players later today.
