Estars launching free-to-play competition called Outlast

Testing the knowledge of esports fans.
Sam Bishop 5 Oktober 2018

Dublin-based company Estars has revealed that they've launched a new interactive engagement platform for esports events worldwide, with the first product - Estars Outlast - being a free-to-play competition allowing fans to test their knowledge of esports competitions and predict results. Fans who register on Estars' website will get the chance to win their share of $25,000 USD and 25,000 Star, their virtual currency.

"Estars is a platform created with the esports fan in mind," said Bart Barden, chief product and revenue officer at Estars. "We plan on providing an entirely new way for fans to play, compete, and win by offering exciting and engaging experiences, starting with prediction games that were designed with a gamer's competitive spirit at their core. In addition, we look forward to providing a safe and secure environment while setting the industry standard for trust and integrity as a member of the Esports Integrity Coalition."

The goal in Outlast is to make the most correct predictions and win multi-leg contests against other fans, which can go from days to full seasons. You can earn cash and currency, but also VIP status and other exclusive items every week, and the competition is still in beta with a scheduled launch of autumn for both mobile and desktop.
