ESL Gaming has announced that it has expanded its partnership with Nielsen, a multi-year deal that will see the pair continue to drive research standards in esports, and also engage with brand partners to encourage investments and further deals within the scene.
Set to last for three years, this extension will see ESL Gaming able to regularly report financial valuations to brand partners and advertisers through Nielsen's own Quality Index. This will allow for comparison and determination on whether a partnership was a success and likewise will serve as a way to compare it with traditional sports and other esports.
"By expanding this collaboration and including more events, we keep innovating our ecosystems and the wider industry, and we are very excited to continue sharing our extensive knowledge with our existing and future partners," said Tobias Vogt, director commercial operations at ESL Gaming.
The extended partnership will also now span 17 events, including the ESL Pro Tour, ESL's Dota 2 gaming properties, and ESL Gaming's mobile esports ecosystem going forward.
