Enthusiast Gaming Holdings Inc., the parent company of the esports organisation Luminosity Gaming, has announced that it has entered into a multiple year sponsorship with the digital asset miner, Hut 8 Mining Corp.
Announced in a press release, we're told that the deal will see Enthusiast Gaming and Hut 8 collaborating on a range of new experiences and content within the mobile, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and NFT space. It's also added that Enthusiast's first-person shooter game, EV.IO will be getting an update that will add Hut 8 as its presenting sponsor going forward.
In terms of how the deal will impact Luminosity Gaming, we're told that it will see Hut 8 becoming a sponsor of the esports team, and that the digital asset miner will be integrated into Luminosity and Enthusiast's communities and experiences.
There's no mention of financials behind the deal, but this will mark Hut 8's first foray into the gaming and esports space.
