British Esports Association supporting #RightToBeActive

They're highlighting the advantages of esports.
Sam Bishop 5 Oktober 2018

The British Esports Association has announced that they're backing a campaign to get kids more active in the UK, as the Sport & Recreation Allaince has launched a petition asking for politicians to tranform physical activity provision for young people.

The campaign is called #RightToBeActive, and while the British Esports Association recognises that esports isn't as physically active as other things, they say that there are various benefits for esports and playing in moderation, including teamwork skills. They also note that a lot of teams take fitness, diet, and sleep regimes very seriously.

A special activity week has been announced with West Ham Foundation, Game, Archery GB, and Rocket League to try and get esports fans more active, as well as helping sports fans learn about esports.
