The London-based esports organisation Excel Esports has announced a new partnership with the fitness brand Eleiko. The deal is set to see Excel's League of Legends European Championship team outfitted with better fitness equipment, in a bid to help better the team's performance across the 2021 Spring Split.
"At EXCEL improvement never stops and we are always striving to be better," said Robin McCammon, the Chief Commercial Officer at EXCEL ESPORTS. "We have big ambitions for 2021 and it's great to work with a partner like Eleiko who really understands the fitness environment and can provide us with the tools to reach our goals."
As part of the deal, Eleiko is to be named Excel's official equipment supplier, although no financial details regarding how the deal has been structured has been disclosed.
"At Eleiko, we understand the difference a sharp mind and body makes," said Erik Blomberg, Eleiko's CEO before continuing with: "We are proud to support EXCEL's LEC team in their high-performance training as well as in their esports success."
